Intel Pentium B940 Dual Core processor
Intel Pentium B940 is a dual core processor clocked at 2 GHz. The Pentium B940 is based upon the Sandy Bridge architecture.
The cache organization consists of 64 KB of L1 Cache and 256 KB of L2 Cache dedicated to each of the two cores. It also has 2 MB of L3 Cache memory which is shared by each of the two cores. The smaller L3 cache is one of the major difference with other Core branded Sandy Bridge processor. The architecture of the DDR3 memory controller and the DMI bus is similar to the other core processors.
The Pentium Brands are priced lower than there Core counterparts in the Sandy Bridge series.
The Pentium B940 is intended for mobile computing and it should have enough performance power for entry level computing as well as casual gaming.
The on chip graphics controller will allow you to display High Definition Video. It will also be helpful for entry level gaming.
